Power Washing vs. Soft Washing

Power washing or pressure washing is the use of high pressure water to remove mold, algae, lichen, moss, and other contaminants from a particular surface. Power washing equipment can be purchased as an electric machine or gas powered. When in inexperienced hands, both will produce enough pressure to cause significant damage to almost any surface including concrete, stone and brick. When in experienced hands, high pressure power washing equipment is very useful for cleaning many of the more durable surfaces.

Due to the damage being caused with high pressure power washers, someone came up with the idea of "soft washing" to gently remove mold, mildew, moss, algae, dirt and grime from both hard and soft surfaces.

Soft Washing is using a variety of cleaning solutions to lift and remove the contaminants from siding, roofing materials, concrete, stone and brick. Any micro living organisms (algae, moss, etc...) will be killed to prevent them from returning to quickly yet is perfectly safe for larger plants.

Soft washing is safe for use on dryvit, EIFS, stucco, vinyl, aluminum, wood and just about every other siding material. Trex and other synthetic or semi-synthetic decking materials clean up incredibly well with our process. Black streaks or black roof stains don't stand a chance against our cleaning solutions.
